Farcry 2?

Does anyone have any info of this? I only just found out this was announced and seriously can't wait. Farcry, for me, was brilliant and so easily one of my best games.

Hopefully it will be on PC.

ive heard nothing apart from its in production

im guessing it will use the same engine as crysis, but then who knows

i wanna know what ever happened to the Far Cry expansion pack, I almost preordered but i haven't heard anything about it since.

Has it been cancelled?

Quick search and it comes up with "Due for release on 01/06/2007". Lol I never heard about this expansion either

EDIT: Hmm another search shown me this: "Released: 28 December 2007"

Because I like it better on PC than console. I don't think it will have anything to do with Crysis seeing as that is EA isn't it?

Didn't the makers of Far Cry (Crytek) and Ubisoft have a big falling out? with Ubi retaining IP rights to the FC brand? If so I think it will unfortunately mean that FC2 will suck just as hard as all those Far Cry console games

' FarCry2 ' doesn't really matter much when the developers that made FarCry are creating Crysis.

What does Farcry 2 have to do with Crysis and Crytek? Different developers and different games.

Far Cry 2 will pale in comparison to Crysis. Crysis is the proper follow up to Far Cry, even if it's not technically a sequel.

You know, I wonder if Crytek were forward thinking in the naming of their company and game, or whether it was just lucky? I mean if the company wasn't called Crytek, they probably wouldn't have been able to call their new game Crysis as it would be too similar to Far Cry, and the only reason to call it that would be to make people associate it with Far Cry. But because they are called Crytek, they have a legitimate reason for calling it Crysis.

I hope they don't make FarCry 2. FarCry 1 was supurb. Thats why I don't want it made. Developers these days feel the need to make sequals to every game, movie or anything that comes out these days!
