farcry display problem

i decided to reinstall farcry this afternoon and and everything was fine, but when i started the first level and everything was blue, i could see the radar and the text telling me to walk forward and look around, the sound works ok too.

i'm using vista hp 32 bit and a 8600gts with the lastest drivers. i've tried the compatability mode and have the graphic settings to let the application decide but its still blue.

i had the same problem with stalker when i changed the gfx settings in ntune to what i wanted but i had to change it back to let the application decide, stalker now works fine.

any help would be very welcome.

have you patched farcry to latest version 1.4?

i patched it to 1.2 and it works fine now

i'll download 1.4 now.

1.2 u sure because if you do then get rid of it quick because UBI/Crytek put this patch out for a day then took it back. Because there where WAY too many probs with it then they replaced it with 1.3 then 1.31 then 1.32 then 1.33 then 1.4.

Yup, you should completely uninstall 1.2 b4 you use 1.4

Run the 1.2 installer again and select the uninstall option
Slap in the DVD/CD select uninstall then run the repair option.

You can then chose to use which correct patch path you want:
Multiplayer: Single 1.4 cumulative patch
Single player: Use patches 1.3, 1.31 and 1.33 only

what the deal with the 1.2 patch? i'm still using it and the game runs fine and have no plans to play it online cus i cant remember my ubi-soft login details.

1.2 patch was pulled. Get 1.4
