Let's hope it's a good thing as there are people who can't become a farmer due to various circumstances.

The main point of conversation would be how much of a simulator this is.

In my experience I had trouble even just loading the game. But this was quite a while ago.

You will need to update Windows.
I was running win 10 pro build 1809 at the time and updating it to the latest version fixed the issue.

Joking, why do I need to update windows?! lol, I have no idea what version I am running to be honest - windows 10 pro, of some sort, is all I know.

I think it is related to DX12 hence why running it in DX11 will "run" it. However, as you pointed out, it runs like crap.
I had held out updating my copy before that but just went with it and updated it.

It is pretty dire that it is still an issue as I would have thought they would have sorted it out.

If you want to know what build you are one Type Sysinfo in the windows search and run system Information.
