This group has come up with a theory that the Nazca Lines are a 2d map of Earth and now we are able to fit the lines to a 3d sphere e.g., using google earth. And it reveals what the glyphs mean, the bioglyphs, the tapering rectangles. Also it reveals the advanced understanding of mathematics that the builders had, as well as their birds eye view to create the glyphs of river deltas.

This is a good read: https://nazcasolution.com/hypothesis/

Personally I find this a compelling theory, revealing that in our ancient history there were people on Earth who were more advanced that we are today. Only question is were they human?

After I read that website, I was watching this clip from a discovery documentary on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWIYb5zd6p8 which after reading the theory can answer all the mysteries in that short clip!

I've only watched that YouTube clip.

" Why did they create these images they can't even see?"

Probably because it was not meant to be seen by them but by their "Gods". ( And I mean there imaginary god's not aliens posing as god's )

"Why are there sea fish bones on top of a mountain"

its most likely an offering to the gods. What would be seen as the greatest offering someone living in a mountain desert could offer? Fish and sea creatures it shows dedication and sacrafice while also looking better than the other villages by offering the rarest and best gifts.

"Why are there sea fish bones on top of a mountain"
.

Actually, it was something like this that made people first appreciate how devastating the tsunamis generated by the collapse of seamounts can be

"How come there are seashells embedded in this volcanic rock 1500ft above sea level"

:p

No.

Also, they did not have a bird's eye view. They were able to survey the area from nearby hills.

So they surveyed the whole Earth in ancient times? How did they travel the whole earth?

Some of the glyphs reveal the structure of the sea bed, except there are no hills to stand on and human eyes can’t see through that much water.

But sure... no... whatever makes you feel better.

Here’s a brief video on the theory

They could draw a line from anywhere around the Earth and find several interesting sites on it.

I've seen many documentaries and read many paperbacks on the Nazca Lines but I'd like to see the full video in the OP because all the books and documentaries are from the perspective of looking from above but this one is looking from the ground.

so someone has taken a load of lines drawn all over the place and "fitted" them to google earth... yeah, that sounds really plausible... this ancient civilisation had a giant world map despite no evidence of them having traveled all over the world etc..

Sorry but this is complete bunk - not that these drawings in the desert, geometric shapes etc.. aren't interesting but this idea of advanced ancient civilisations or this map claim

I thought someone had discovered something about them.

Sadly just more made up nonsense for the gullible.

Not going to lie that made me laugh An entire advanced civilisation and all they left was a giant ‘map‘ lol

25 years ago I read "Fingerprints of the Gods" by Grahan Hancock.

Reading that book ended up costing us a small fortune in travel but we saw and experienced quite a few of the things he'd a "theory" about. Including Nazca. Lake Tititcaca, Cusco, Machu Pichu, Tikal, Chichenizta, Giza, etc etc etc.

Still keeping an open mind about it all tbh. But I'm more than glad that we did it all when we did.

how old are modern humans? it was probably 200,000 years when you were taught at school, but now its believed to be more like 350,000 years.

Pyramids and the sphinx are more than likely older than the Egyptians are.
Some Roman buildings are believed to have been built on the ruins of some civilization time has forgotten. (massive stone monolithic blocks as a foundation, then tiny Roman blocks making up the buildings)

I doubt people were more advanced than we are today, but I suspect something happened that did set back civilization to a much lesser advanced way of life than had been before it.
