Hi all,

Looking for something fast and cheap for me to have some fun in untill I get my R32 GTR or Integra Type R next year! (looking like the teg atm, will need another year to save for the skyline I think)

Any suggestions? I found an old mk3 Supra 3.0 Turbo for £700 that I was going to view the weekend but looks like it may be sold :(

Want something as cheap as possible really and preferably Japanese but not essential. Must be under £1500!

Excellent suggestions, cheers!

Forget about the old s13s and GT4's. Had a quick look at mk1 mr2's earlier but didn't find anything I really like the look of.

And reliability isn't a *major* concern, it's only something as a 2nd car for fun for the time being. Probably a few track days. If it blows up then I'll brake it for parts and just wait untill I get a tidy car again next year :)

The Legacy sounds like a good option, drove one a few years back and they are pretty nippy. £1600 may be pushing it a little bit too much though, was hoping closer to the grand mark ideally but will defently look into then.

Will find out if the Supra has gone by tomorrow dinner time anyway and if not I will be having a look at it the weekend!

4th Gen Prelude vtec. If you are lucky you can get a good one in that price range. There are some dodgy ones on pistonheads in that price range but some good ones too :)

BMW e30 318iS. Very easy to get it to 325i levels of performance, matched with incredible handling and cool looks imho. I would have run mine daily if I didnt need something reasonably new for work.

Rover coupe turbo.

Beat me to it :)

A good one will set you back a grand. Great performance for the money and not so expensive to run.

Parts are cheap and they're 'fairly' easy to work on.

Having owned one of these i can assure you they're not fast by todays standards (1.6L = 137ish BHP)

However they are a hoot to drive and fun in the rain, i'd just advise being cautious of the load pedal in the wet if your not used to RWD ;)
