ive just not long migrated from adsl24 to fast ( tuesday last week )
my speeds were the fastest ive ever had 6500kbps on speedtester.net
ive come home today and my speeds have crashed to 800 - 2000kbps
these are my current stats off my router BT Voyager 210
ive spoken to fast and they are looking into this for me but tell me about the ten day training period. i understand that but why the sudden drop in speed ?
it peaks @ 4 - 5000kbps on speedtest.net then it fizzles down

-provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 7648 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 5500 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2051 kbps

i have no idea what this all means

The first line is what your modem/router connection has synchronized at, but you will not achieve those download speeds due to your IP Profile being limited to 5500 kbps.

You need to leave your connection on for at least three days for your IP Profile to increase, that's providing you synchronize in the high 7k region.

There's a table on this page that shows how your connection sync affects you IP Profile.
