Looking for a fast m.2 1tb for about £100 don't need a pcie 4.0 as I've got a z490 maximus xii formula, my widows drive is a Samsung 960 evo, the 1tb is to replace a 500gb ssd gaming drive.
Than. ks.

If you can afford it, the WD Black SN750 is excellent (I have 2 of them). It's only PCI-E 3, but it's very fast and at the moment OCUK have it for £120. Alternatively the WD Blue SN550 is also good. Not the fastest PCI-E drive but fast enough that for most purposes you won't notice any difference - and it's sub £100.

My friend has just ordered one of those Sabrent drives - he may already have it, so I'll see what he thinks of it.

I am currently using the sabrent rocket in my pc and sn 550 in another. Both are good drives. Benchmark/performance wise the SN550 is the slower of the two. If you were on a strict budget, I would suggest looking at the SN550 but if not either the SN750 ( as said above), Sabrent rocket, adata sx8200 pro (although they have changed the controller on this one now) are some decent drives.
