Fast Nano usb drive for Linux?

Hi, can anyone recommend a fast nano usb drive that i could run linux off?

I have an old Thinkpad T43 laptop sitting here thats fine except for the dead ide port on the motherboard so cant use a hard drive in it.

Looked at a few but the read and write speeds are very low compared to normal sized drives. Or would that not really be an issue? (Linux noob here )

yes just after i posted that dawned on me as i looked at them years ago for extra storage space as hd was only 40Gb when i got it...crazy to think the lapyop was £1500+ when new lol...will have a look

edit: thanks again...got one that takes a sata drive too so that solves the problem of finding a new ide drive.
Wonder though what the transfer rate will be? still has to be better than a nano driver at 10mb/s read and 3mb/s write lol
