.. so I have a budget of 150 quid, I have a 320 Maxtor at the moment and it's faired well up to now but with games becoming constantly larger it's running out of gas in terms of been able to store all these 8 gb + games

so I urge you to recommend me a nice hard drive which will run nice and smooth with my system...

No information needed on my system to be honest it's pretty much up to date with the best ATI and AMD, thanks for the help :)

Obviously with a generous Access time for them hard mass areas on games....

Smashing value and for your £150 you could buy two and still have some money left.

As it is now you will see an increase in about£40 to get the 750Gb drives and for that money you can almost get another 500Gb drive, so if you have the space in your case two 500Gb is a lot more value for money than getting a bigger drive.

If you keep your old 320Gb drive you will still gain a lot of space with just one 500gb drive for storing information.

Personally I usually buy Seagates due to the 5 year warranty, but for the price these samsungs look well sweeeeet.

Personally i'd be tempted to look at the new samsung F1 drives, they're coming out in flavors between 1TB and 160gb according to samsung, but only seen the 1tb and 750 mentioned on the ocuk site
