Fastest AGP card I can run on a 300w PSU ?

I have a shuttle SN41G2 with a 300W silent X psu and its runs my XFX 7800GS EE no probs

Shuttle use excellent PSUs, they're much more capable than there ratings suggest, and I would have thought Asus would use similar ones.

my 6800GT turned up today all installed

While playing any game for more than 10 minutes I get multi coloured lines across the screen and then the PC reboots

does that sound to you like my PSU isnt up to the job after all ?

Dont play it like that, hopefully it just bad drivers but its best to test it first via directx icon in control panel and such like

For the record I have a 9800xt on a 4 year old bog standard 300w tsunami case psu, it just about manages it though it seems close. (temporary)

According to ExtremePSUCalculator your system would require an average of 253w with the 6800GT.

Sounds like a temperature issue more than power. If it was a power one surely the thing would just cut out if it was drawing too much.

Not sure - I'm an ATI boy and use ATI Tool, maybe somehing like RivaTuner has the same functionality for nVidia?

The PSU should still be enough, you can find your temperature in Coolbits(Nvidia's own overclocking tool). You can either enter the registry key to access it manually or download a patch, it is easy enough to find with Google
