Fastest memory for a Asus P5LD-2VM R2 mobo

Hello all, mate has just got a Asus P5LD-2VM R2 mobo and wondered what the fastest memory he could use with this motherboard used with a E6600 Conroe 2 x 2.4Ghz CPU which won't be clocked
I was thinking it would be PC5300 also he doesn't want to spend to much

The cheapest RAM you can currently buy on OcUK is PC6400 OcUK Value RAM. That would be my recommendation. It will only run at 667MHz in your board, but it will stand a board upgrade and in 12 months time PC6400 will the standard anyway.
