Fastest Tiny USB storage drive

Looking for a bit of advice/product recommendations.

I currently have a 128GB Samsung FIT Plus. This or something physically smaller is ideal for my needs (leaving plugged into a laptop) and I'm happy with the speed (though faster is always better). I'm looking for something with more capacity and wonder if there is a better option than the 265GB version of this same drive?

lol thought you wanted a micro-usb drive.

But yeah i think the 256gb of the same drive is your best bet. Can't find anything close that matches the size or spec.

Is it not easier/cheaper to upgrade the internal storage? I’ve used a flush fit microSD adapters previously for a semi-permanent install on my MacBook - they work quite well and are reasonably quick depending on the card used, capacities are up to 1TB now (obscenely expensive), but 512GB is reasonably priced.

A fair point and I agree, it's what I'd do with a personal computer. However, I'll be using this with a work laptop where a larger HDD isn't an option but having an external HDD is just too bulky.
