Fastest way of getting wow?

just installed windows 7 and i need wow on this machine (woltk etc).
what will be the fastest way to get it?
i started DLing using the official http downloader but getting a very low speed (around 300 kb/s)...
any ideas?

It's pretty average these days, I just moved to Uni and the internet is really slow here (150-200kbps downloads

)

If you go to WoWWiki.com they have loads of different mirrors so you can patch up nice and quick

Doesn't one of the trial versions just download the needed core files, then streams the area data in the background. So, start a tauren and it'll download thunder bluff, and while you play it'll be downloading the Barrens since its right next to it, and spreads out like that.

If you have it on another machine, you can copy the directory straight over and i'll work from there.

I used to grab the patches from gamershell when I did a new wow install.

Its average at best - thats about the speed I get, and WoW isnt the smallest game + expansions/patched up etc. Would take a fair old while at that speed.

Quickest way would be to borrow a mates game discs if poss and backup the patches onto dvd too if he/she has them.

Wow... I only started getting 400KB/s about a month ago, so 300KB/s is fairly good 'round these parts.

I suppose its what your used to. I sync between 3/4mb max on ADSL and my mate who lives a few mins away is on a 50mb cable connection. Sucks.

You're probably best off driving to the shop and buying it rather than downloading it. Will probably be quicker.

Be prepared to wait HOURS for it to install though.

Got like, 9400Mb/s when I did it this way!

Seriously though, get the WotLK DVD off a torrent site (it's not illegal) and get patches off the WoWWiki mirrors.

300kbs per sec? just leave it going with t official downloader and itll be one in a decent time, if you really cant wait perhaps 3-4 hors to play wow i think you need to sort your life out

That's actually it downloading updates

Either that or you need to replace your dvd drive
