Fastest way of getting wow?

Disable P2P and the download will be faster :)

Doesnt take that long these days, all new DVD's are patched to WoTLK, so once you install just a 1.6GB patch to get you up to speed and have Outlands and Northrend all there. Started installing at 21:30 last night and was in game by 23:30
 
Always hated the fact that the blizzard update manager is a P2P program so your always at the mercy of other peoples connections.

Think it took me 3 hours to update the last time i done a clean install.

Or go into the options and disable p2p sharing and you get it through http instead. I seem to get faster speeds with p2p downloading enabled though, except when I'm torrenting at the same time.

The annoying thing is that some ISPs completly reduce d/l speeds when d/l over P2P as they think your d/l illegal material......

Right pain in the bum :(
 
If you're friend has a fully updated version, can you copy it from there onto yours? Obviously deleting character info and what not from the copy.
