Fastest way to get from Uxbridge to Clapham Junction?

By far the quickest way is going to be not to go to clapham junction but to go to clapham common and walk the 10 minutes from there, one tube change, shouldn't be too bad though you'll need to leave early.

In fact, I was out in hillingdon a few weeks back and it took best part of an hour to get back to the city by tube, given that this is further, first train will be no earlier than 5-30 (I don't know exactly on the metropolitan line), I think you'll struggle, if you need to make it get a taxi.

10 minutes? It's 2 miles away! It's taken me nearly that long in a cab! Clapham Junction is Battersea, really. Just pinched the name as Battersea was a complete industrial dump when it was built.

Trains from Victoria to Clapham Junction take under 10mins. If you got as far as Vauxhall, the train takes 3-4mins. There's not a lot to be gained by staying on the tube.

I live in Hillingdon, the prefered method of getting into london is on the Oxford Tube coach. It stops outside hillingdon station and takes half the time that the train takes to get into london (Marble Arch) which is about 30minutes. The coach is air conditioned and very modern, much nicer than the tube.
I think it would be another 30 minutes from marble arch to clapham junction though on the tube, so may not be worth it.

Not checked the times or anything though, just a suggestion :p
