Fatal1ty interview

He comes across as quite arrogant in my opinion, I've never really paid much attention to his 'fame' before, but after reading that interview I'm not particularly inspired.
 
Yeah he is a bit of a tool really. Thinks he is some sort of crusader. Enough about being insanely driven... Also I think watching FPS is really dull..especially 1v1.
 
Its all about money really, his obsession with gaming as a sport equates to commercialising competitive gaming to generate more money for the men in suits. A corporate whore if you ask me (maybe whoring in CS or whatever he plays just didn't float his boat anymore?).

Also, I'd pan him senseless in BF2 anyday. :o
 
Who wants to watch some random people play a 1v1 on TV? Almost as boring as watching snooker!

I'm not too sure why he seems to think gaming is a sport though. Seems he is just after the money.
 
Remember the Demo of John Romero vs that girl? I can't remember her name but I seem to remember that was a quake demo worth watching.
 
He's won more 1v1 tournaments than anyone else. Wow, so amazing. Can he work as part of a team though?

I still reckon FPS Doug would pwn him in CS:S anyday.
 
He was at i29 and giving a presentation on stage and someone from the crowd shouted "OMG HES GINGER!!" was very funny :p he generally got abused by a mob of gamers

"FPS Doug" is a complete ****** made up in yet another effort to scam money out of the gullible and often retarded gaming community. As expected its worked quite well.

I don't like the guy, but at least Wendel has some skill.
 
He wants to bring 'Gaming Sport' to mainstream yet he says something like this..

Personally, I think the only real game that is a true sport on a computer is an FPS game.

He obviously dosent play any other games apart from fps.Racing,RTS and aload of other genre's could evolve into a sport.

Although I'm still not comfortable with the idea of gaming being a sport, I'm not sure how watchable it'd be on TV.

How do you reckon? FPS Doug is a fictional character on a "TV" show distributed for free on the Internet. I don't see any money-grubbing plot afoot. Care to fill me in?
