Hi all,

Does anyone know of any chains or specific garages that will fault check for free? The engine management line has lit-up on my Saab 9-3 diesel but in all honesty I can't spot any issues and would rather not pay the £40 quid or whatever it is for them to check.

Cheers

Location?
Warwick and I can do it for you, tho chances are 1 in *****
You local mechanic your friendly with best idea, or go buy a universal reader for £30.

So you're looking to freeride a business. You do see this is why they charge £40 and usually refund it on when the repair is carried out....

Is it a 150bhp model?

I bought a bluetooth OBD2 reader for under a fiver, it has diagnosed (and is able to reset) the engine check light on my E46. Bargain.

Why not do that? Then you have it for next time too.

It is yeah the 1.9tdi Vector sport and I didn't realise they took the price back when they repair it.

It has since turned itself off this morning so might be intermittent.

Drop into me on the 5th when I'm back and I'll do it for free.
I've been sweeping the floor and doing a Christmas clean for the last two days running so I can't see me being "rushed off my feet" on the first day back. ' :)

Tewkesbury Gloucestershire if that's near you?
