Basically I had my E6300 @ 2.8ghz. It was running fine for most of the day, but last night all games gave me error reports, had a blue screen pointing to ATI...I formated today - still there. Sometimes 3dmark 01 would run once then balls up. I played wow - got in fine, quit and got a bluescreen. Anyway - I took one stick out (2*512) and all *seems* good. Should I bother testing the seemingly faulty stick, or just try and RMA it?

I just did a mem test on the supposed faulty stick - 33000 errors at 70%, lol - thank god the other stick works (did 1 pass fine).

how do i go about running memtest? i have used memtest for windows and gave it 768 mb to test and it passed fine.

i take it you are talking about memtest86?

You can run it from a floppy or a bootable cd. The memtest site has the images for both.
