Faulty GPU

So, the main reason for getting a new PSU today (from OcUK) was to finally run my sli setup. I bought a GPU from the sales forum here off what seemed to be a reputable guy...

After hours of testing, it's 100% faulty, no display from the GPU.

How do I find out if I can RMA it?

It's a EVGA 560ti 448 core.

Yea, but I doubt I will get a response. He has fantastic reputation so I'm sure there is no foul play here. He is very well known.

Anyway, I checked on EVGA's website, it has 817 days warranty left. But I cannot find for the life of me the EU/UK warranty information!

To do the auto RMA procedure you need to live in America/Canada

Tried both, I have the exact same card, using it right now. Placed the newly purchased one into the system to test and took out the other one. Tried both hdmi and dvi.

could try clearing the cmos,maybe that is needed with different hardware even if its the same gpu? beware as it will reset your bios/oc settings so make a note beforehand other than that i cant think whatelse it could be other than faulty

Its not really an issue for public discussion but my ad ise would be to email Jedifragger and see if has regiatered the card with EVGA. Juat remember its the card that has the warranty not the seller so you could try sending an email to via trust to evga_lee and see if he can help (you can find one of his posts in the warranty thread in the last page).

Guy I bought it off has contacted me, he supplied a receipt from OcUK in the original boxing (missed this), bought at the end of June this year. So will contact them tomorrow. OcUK have fantastic RMA service. So hopefully have this all sorted by early next week.

FYI, JediFragger, top bloke, he responded within a hour of my email! Really nice guy and also shocked to find out it's faulty.

try cleaning the gold fingers along the graphic card,use alcahol and a paper towel,could be dirty,

I bought a 6970 off the mm which wont do it's 900mhz default clock have to run it at 880mhz it's a trend starting to creep in to the mm which I don't like, if something is faulty you have to be upfront about it people starting to sell stuff rather than rma it themselves.I would never knowingly sell something which had even a slight fault or issue without being up front about it.

But yea I can trust the guy I bought it from and it came with a receipt in warranty so it's okay just stick to the warranty left have receipt help with warranty rule and it's cool.
