Faulty GPU ?

Don't know if it makes a difference but when Windows on desktop the gpu is in silent mode with fans off. When it goes pixelated and then blanks it out the fans come off and on. And the card is hot to the touch.

im currently using the PC with GPU unplugged. works perfectly fine.

with it plugged in it only seems to last 3 or 4 minutes after i have logged into windows.

i can try and open my HW monitor really quickly after i have re installed the drivers if it doesnt resolve the issue. maybe then i will be able to see the temps.

Ok so I cleaned drivers and reinstalled but now with gpu back in the pixel pattern has changed and if I move my mouse around then the pixels move around with it lol

For a second time - very disappointing. i paid £275 for this card on the 3rd of june and it's been a peice of junk since day 1. I honestly just want my money back at this point.

A second rma is not acceptable.

I know that it's beyond the 28days but this card has already been returned once within the 28days and sent back to me as no fault found only for it to last a further 3weeks?

Bailey as you said you'd keep an eye on this thread please get back to me asap.

I have tested the card in my friends machine and it done the exact same thing. His psu is only 520w and mine is 550w.

However I do need to stress that this whole build was recommended by forum members and ocuk staff.

Yeah I am going to call them again today when I get the chance, I'm at the point now that I don't want the card. I've lost all faith in this particular one. I want a refund and I'll buy a different card.

Update : ocuk have agreed to issue a full refund when they receive the card back.

Thanks again everyone for all your help!

Now to chose me a new gpu for £300 :)
