Apologies if wrong thread, first post and looking for advise with misbehaving pcs.
Machine take 10s of minutes to boot up and manage to do anything. Task manager shows no applications running but about 50 processes. CPu shows only 4% activity. Theres a repetitive high pitch noise like hard drive activity.
Teenagers machine used mainly for chatrooms, has something bad downloaded (uses AVG and Spybot) ? or is drive failing?
