I've had a problem with my G27 for a few months now. I've only had it since December 2010 aswell!

The wheel feels loose, I thought it was an isolated issue that nobody else had. Then I found this video!

Anyone else had this problem??

is it like this when during gameplay?

edit: sometimes the steering wheel will normally apply the force feedback settings and therefore stiffen up. Also I don't have this problem.

It's loose all the time unfortunately!

No problem with mine, though it hasn't seen a whole lot of use yet.

Contact Logitech support, they are legendary.

As above ^ ^ Logitech = the best support for RMA I have ever used.... should be no problem wo have sorted!!!

I shall contact Logitech support :) , Best to do it via phone or email? :p

I'm hoping they don't want the bloody thing shipped all the way back to them!!!!

No they won't. They just ask you for a picture of the wheel with your name next to it and then they ship you a brand new G27.

Glad I see this.

I have 50% from logitech website and can't decide what to get, happy with my KB the mice are to expensive so it leaves this really.

What are peoples opinions on it? I can get it for £125

I got it for £120, buy it while you can! Awesome price for such an awesome product. You wont be disappointed.

As for the OP, I haven't had such an issue and I've had mine since November :)

I have a G25 which is three years old and used nearly every day and it still doesn't wobble like in the video of the G27.

When I saw the the G25 had been replaced I bought a second G25 as a spare for £115 as the G27 was over £300 however the paddles wouldn't shift correctly so I had to take it back but only got a refund as there were no more G25's left.

I would defiantly buy a G27 if I could get one for £125.

That issue, is part of the Bearing and Cog assembly just on the inside of the wheel, first check the screws underneath the wheel, there should be 4 large head + black screws, check all 4, if they arent loose, then its the 2-4 on the inside of the wheel, failing that again its down to the plastic shaft that goes through 2 Bearings, and most likely the plastic has worn down causing play.

I had the exact same list of problems listed above on my G25, essentially the same internally to the G27 - Fixed all 3, with loctite, and plumbers tape around the shaft to make it fit snuggly into the bearing-s.

the bearings are away in my g27, when you turn it has a stiff point and you hear a noise like bearings crunching..you dont hear it when your driving only when its off and you spin it.

also my pedals are kinda wobbly, lots of play going left and right. its aobut 10-20cm of play. just the throttle, brake and clutch seem fine

First one not a clue, but if driving is fine, keep using it.

Pedals thats because of the Springs inside the pedal unit, in the brake and clutch its a stiffer spring, in the throttle, well its barely a spring at all, so it flops around a bit, completley normal and nothing to worry about.

So, I had high hopes! an Email back from Logitechs CS said warranty Exchange.. \o/ I thought...

Then It transpires that the so called exchange means they collect my wheel. Assess it.. then possibly send me out another G27.

What a crock of ****

I don't understand why it isn't a like for like swap Alex, Exhange means exhange. I questioned the customer service bloke but he's like a robot and ignores you.

I see, so like an immediate exchange with the courier? I have to admit, I'm surprised that Logitech aren't doing that for you. Sounds more like something OcUK would do!

Do have a number for them? You could always ask again for an immediate exchange. I can see why you'd think it was a little bit of a pee take when it's only 3 months old.
