My Microsoft Comfort Curve KB 2000 is playing up, I seem to have lost the receipt tho.

Any idea if I can claim a replacement via MS?

Contact MS support. You should be able to find a link on their website without too much hassle. You don't need a receipt. They will ask you for the id number on the back of the keyboard. I have gone that route twice. On each occassion MS sent me a replacement keyboard.

Lets hope MS support is as good as Logitechs :D

MS hardware support was good when I reported two faulty keyboards. After filling out a hardware support form online, they contacted me via email to go through a checklist to make sure it was faulty hardware and not just user ignorance. Once they were satisfied it was hardware at fault they sent me a replacement keyboard. They asked me to dispose of the old keyboard so no postage costs incurred by me. It took a while (about 3 weeks) for delivery. I think that is reasonable. They even telephoned me afterwards to make sure I was happy with the service. I was pleasantly surprised the whole process was so hassle free. Thumbs up from me for MS hardware support.

I usually buy Logitech mice and Microsoft keyboards. Although neither company has ever let me down, its nice to know that MS CS seems as good as Logitechs :)
