My PS3 slim has suddenly decided it doesn't want to read disks and wants to lock up all the time.

It's still in warranty so I'm going to get a replacement but I've got a load of downloaded PSN games and saved data.

What is the easiest way to back this up or will I need to download it all again? I can still access my PS3 it just goes a bit mental when trying to read a disk.

I have PS+ btw so some of my game saves will be uploaded to the cloud.

Cheers guys.

To an external HD but if its locking up all the time dont know if it would last the transfer? Tbh id just back up all the save data you can and re-download your games on the new PS3 as i bet like most people you have games sitting on the HDD you dont play anyway :p

When my Blu Ray drive died on mine I just used the game data backup utility and transferred the stuff onto a pen drive (32GB jobby).

Only issue I had was that Guitar Hero 5 and a couple of my other games had locked saved content so couldn't back them up.

Majority of them were fine though.
