Thought would be good for a separate thread relating to faults, seeing how many there are cropping up.

I have just returned mine. There was a permanent white fleck in the right display/lens. I do not know if it's a pixel or a lens defect but it was visible on a lighter single colour background and smack in the middle of the eyeline.

It's annoying because I'd availed myself of the 20% discount so now need the hassle of trying to reapply this. I may not bother.

Sounds like trapped dust

1 x Meta - dead pixel & dust (right panel)
1 x Argos - stuck green pixel (left panel)
1 x Very - coming friday :o

Returned mine to Very with a cluster of dead pixels in the left screen. Thinking about it it could also have been a lens defect or screen defect other than dead pixels. Ordered another, hoping to get the 20% discount applied to that but it looks like it could be a bit of hassle.

I've left the menu behind at times, and walked into a different room. A couple of clicks of the oculus button brings it back though. It's quite nice being sat on the sofa watching something, then standing up and dragging the window with you.

I'm having issues with the Quest and elite charging pack/VR P10 staying connected. Have bought another one which turns up Friday and will return this one.

The one I had delivered on Tuesday had 4 stuck pixels in the left lens, all near the center. The one delivered today is all good so far. I've also noticed having tried these two units is the first one had what I would describe as Mura when looking at a bright plain sky. I can't see that with the one delivered today.

Anyone else get some glare/ghosting/foggyness when looking at a bright area next to a dark background?

It's kind of like the lenses have slight smudges on them, but they're definitely clean.

Not sure if this is just what the pancake lenses are like.

Not as bad as the god rays on the old lenses though.

That's pancake. Pico 4 was pretty bad.

Thought it might be. At least I wear glasses normally so I'm pretty used to having little smeary bits in my vision where my glasses need a wipe. :D

I could still quite happily watch a film in the headset now I think, whereas in the Quest 2 the god rays killed that idea.

I didn't know which section to put this question in, but can someone play Asgard's Wrath and see if they can do a Thumbs up? I just noticed yesterday that I couldn't give a thumbs up to my sidekick.

I am going to try Rec Room and test that as well.

I will do

That's the problem I had with an oculous game running on my pico

I hope to play that game again now I got a q3

Just noticed slight brightness flicker this morning, restarted the headset and it was still there but went away after about a minute.
That was while being in home environment.
Also getting brightness flicker all the time in Virtual Desktop on all my computers.
Anyone else noticed that.?

I think there is something wrong with the Wireless on the Quest 3 as well. The connection bandwidth jumps all over the place when I am playing. It goes between 840Mbps and 1200Mbps. It was always rock solid on the Quest 2. The other thing I am noticing is flickering when I turn quickly. It looks like the brightness is flickering, but I think it's a connection/encoder issue. The other issue I am having is that the supposed two stage trigger isn't working. In Half Life Alyx one of the reviews showed the guy crushing cans by using the harder squeeze trigger function. However, that doesn't work for me. Squeezing the trigger extra hard doesn't seem to do anything.
