I have an old 2TB drive which came in a my passport caddy, the drive is no longer detected in Windows but still spins up
Unfortunately it uses a USB3.0 micro b male connector
It may be this connector that is damaged as the USB cable was installed at an angle bending the port
I've tried many different USB3.0 cables, is there such as thing as a micro b male to SATA adapter so at least I can try and connect by SATA
I did find a website in the US which you can purchase a new PCB which might fix the issue
http://www.hdd-parts.com/13031166.html
Any ideas?
