Hi
I have just fitted my new/second hand MSI HD7970 and started playing SWOTR and it appears to have a light flickering when gaming.....its ok here. Did i buy a duffer?????

I have just built the system, all is brand new.
i7 4770k
Gigabyte Sniper z87
8 Gb Team Vulacn
120 Gb SSD with Win 7 64 Pro
2 Tb HDD Seagate Hybrid
I used the drivers that came with the MOBO and the Afterburner CD that came with the GPU.
Another Problem is I cant see the HDD on My Computer but under Device Manager it seems to be there??????

Does the card have both PCIE plugs inserted?
And has your hdd been assigned a drive letter, look in disk management, if not, just assign it one..

The GPU is in slot PCIEX8 which is the lower of the 2.
The other is PCIEX16 which is higher up the board...
How do i assign a number to the HDD??
Its in SATA 5 and it shows in thr BIOS.

The GPU should be in the PCIEX16 slot.

Right click on 'my computer' and select 'manage' then click on disk management. See if the drive shows up there.

I was`nt asking what slot the card is in, but whether you have the PCIE power cables from the Psu plugged into the card.
And why is it in the second slot?

Go in to disk management, find the hdd( right click on it) and assign it a drive letter.

OK
I got the disk working.
I put the GPU in the other slot and its still flickering.
the power connectors on the GPU are 6 and 8.
the cables from the psu are both 6 with an extra 2.
i have plugged the 6 and 2 into 1 connector and the 6 into the other with its 2 tapped back on its self for safety.
hope that makes scence.....
