Fav linux distro ?

Mandriva was good - KDE works nice on this, but support is poor.
So I'm now moving to Ubuntu 10.10, you just can't go wrong with Ubuntu!

Mint 10 is very nice (tried the live CD), but there doesn't seem to be an easy option to upgrade from one release to another. You don't want to install a fresh copy of an OS or spend hours going through a manual upgrade procedure every time you want to upgrade to the latest release.

i love backtrack, for the simple reason, how powerful a system pen test tool it is...on a wee 4 gb usb just boot straight onto it and start cracking and hacking...SO FUN :)

You can get much bigger USB sticks than 4 GB?!

Em..... hence my comment :)

I had it on a 8Gb stick (partitioned as recommended by Backtrack 4 :)). 1 x distro update and a couple of package updates later it was full and just a small dictionary that was useless :)

Mint for Installed

Puppy in my pocket 24/7 on a pendrive along with a full set of Windows Portable Apps and Utils. Don't go anywhere without my Pup'n'Port

Move to 10.10? :D

10.10 has many known issues, plus I saw posts about random freezes in it. Is there any way I can at least find out the group that causes the freeze? (USB, IRQ etc...) I already tried many things, I love Ubuntu, but this is annoying, should I wait it out, or try Mint which has a earlier XORG (I heard it might be a X bug)? Where do I get the boot up log, that could help?

Mint but Valves decision to not port steam to linux and generally not being supported by adobe means I hardly use it.
