As I know a few on here like beer what is your favourite and why?

My favourite (and has been for a while) is ice cold Hoegaarden with a nice slice of lemon.

I prefer it to normal largers due to the flavour being a lot stronger and seems to hold its taste through out the pint, unlike ales which normally have "sweet" spots.

Now whats yours.

Where the Guinness / Murphys / Beamish is good I'll drink one of those. Failing that, it's Smithwicks. Failing that, whiskey.

I'm partial to the Hobgoblin myself, I usualy drink Newcastle Brown though.

Edit: I can't pass up a nice cold pint of Joseph Jones either. :)

I like Hoegaarden too but nothing beats a cold Budějovický Budvar (Original Budweiser)
Such a refreshing taste, like no other.

Beer of choice is currently Erdinger, but I've never seen it in any pubs :(

Quite partial to Oranjeboom, as it's not got the chemically aftertaste that most of the "popular" beer seem to have now.

EDIT: Oh and Cobra if I'm out for a curry :D

Where are you from as Erdinger is quite popular in Newcastle.

I could suggest some alternatives but they will probably be harder to find.

Harvey's Sussex
Badger Gold or Champion
Old Speckled Hen (if on tap, bottled is a poor facsimile)

I usually try to go for whatever guest ales are on tap though. At lunchtime today (we took my sister out for a meal to celebrate her birthday), I enjoyed a nice pint of Witch-Hunter, a nice porter strength ale. Lovely rich flavours, no harshness to it.

leffe, or maybe a st peters ale

not beers you could drink by the dozen, but they have so much more quality and flavour than becks/tennents/stella

Really like Strong Suffolk (green king brewery i think), leffe brune and newcy brown go down nicely as well:)

I'm quite varied, but the following make my list.

Budding, Stroud Brewery
Leffe,
Cotswold Premium or Cotswold 3 7,
The lighter beers from Nailsworth Brewery
Becks (this needs to be on draft in more pubs, it's by far the best mass market beer)
Doom Bar

Of course, sometimes I'm a cider drinker, Adlestones for the win.

Grolsch, Heineken - Most Dutch beers are really good.
