Favourite / Best Game

What is really good game, i am looking for a pc game but im really open minded has to be for windows, [xp]

And im into:

Street Racing [Not Track] Were you can modify cars ect
Trucking same as above. ^
trategy games
Counter-strike.

Whats your favourite game and could you recommend one for me?

Actually I have three.

1) Red Alert (the original one, needs a bit of tweaking to get it working on modern Windows systems.)
2) Counter-strike Source
3) Left 4 Dead.

I know out of the three, only one is modern, but meh

Anyway any of those three or COD4: MW is what I would get.

2: Left 4 Dead

Played it about 6 months back or so. I personally don't think it's aged well at all (though yes, stunning in it's day). Great ideas and everything, but if you think you've seen bad AI recently, go and play through Deus Ex again.

Yes. Yes it can. There is an Official Left 4 Dead thread in this section if you want to chat to some of those that already have it. There is a steam OCUK L4D group that you can join then add some members to your friends list. You should then get some quite good games.

Left 4 Dead is the best multiplayer game out there at the moment in my opinion. Even more fun late at night with mics. There's so many Lolz-moments and every game is different.

I've been collecting loads of games in the last 2 years or so but this is the one I always go back to lol. Does help when your are in a clan.

The Witcher - astounding RPG, even though you haven't mentioned that genre.

Left 4 Dead is a game you must own if you're into online gaming. As has already been mentioned, every game is different and you'll laugh yourself stupid so many times.
