Odds on the people who voted chinese ever having eaten real chinese food?
Odds on the people who voted indian even having eaten really indian food?

I voted for japanese mainly because ive got a hankering for some good sushi/sashimi but I had really good sushi & Sashimi in Korea as well.

Whats the best place in london for sashimi, and not just lumps of tuna or salmon. I need to treat the wife and she'd love some Korean style Sashimi.

one of the best things about all of asia is trying new food, some of which you will not like and some of which will make you think of indiana jones when it gets put on your plate!

Italian done well, i.e. by an Italian, cannot be beaten; ultimately because it is all about stunning ingredients done simply. Vietnamese is also very very good. Fresh, tasty, simple...and a little bit French

I love Italian food - but never been to Italy. Would you guys say that Italian food is much better in Italy?

Without a doubt. Tuscany is my fave. We're going again this year. Florence is amazing for food, and there is a huge market in the centre of the city. Italians view food in a totally different way that us brits. It brings familys together. It brings strangers together.

To give you an example; last year we visited the famed Mario's Trattoria, Florence. http://trattoria-mario.com/. They serve lunch, and you sit wherever you can. Myself and the Mrs were chucked onto a table with a very well to do businessman in an ultra slick shirt, silk tie etc and a tramp. When we sat down both were speaking in Italian, laughing, messing about with the waitress etc. The businessman could speak perfect English (my Italian is GCSE at best) and it was a wonderful hour or so. Everyone, in Florence, was so helpful, kind and good natured. We liked it so much we are going again this year for a few days.

Very cool :) Would love to go to Italy just to try the food :) I could eat Pasta every day and never get bored of it :p

glad to see Italian cutting ahead. Whilst I love ALL the cuisines you've listed with a passion, Italian is the best food experience for me, whether for an everyday meal, sharing with guests or on a special occasion it can always deliver. I love the simplicity and reliance on quality of ingredients in Italian fine dining, you can just picture how the meal was conceived in it's local context :-)
