So I have posted my opinion. I have given you a reason for not liking what I see.

If someone want to mock my opinion then that's up to them. But they should at least give a reason...I have all along and will stand by what I have said.

People measure greatness on speed. I measure greatness by something else entirely.

I mock you because you can't see out of your bubble and insult anybody who likes something other that's inside your bubble.

Which he probably is.
Actually that's insulting kids because most young guitarists may sit down and learn to play super fast solo's that belong to their favourite artists that perfectly fit into that genre of music but most of these kids also tip their hats to the old greats.
A bit like you, you do your Muse and sweeps but then still do the old SRV stuff which hopefully makes you a more rounded guitarist.
It's a shame that Easyrider will be stuck in one spot.

Drums
Piano
Guitar
Banjo

My next purchase is a sitar as I would like to learn some new things musically.

I don't have time to waste learning superfast twiddly parts because I find it boring. Sorry if this offends anyone :o

blues piano
blues drums
blues banjo
blues sitar

because anything out of that bubble will be crap and worthless and please educate me why anybody would want to play anything else.
Why does Mozart play so fast on Rondo Ala Turk? - it's meaningless.
That Vivaldi is a cop out also some of the fast notes he plays.

I'm not replying either, I'm taking the pee.

I have been trying to learn some Jazz stuff on Piano...My blues is very limited.

I have been drumming for over 20 years...I like reggae beats jazz rock and rockabilly amongst other beats and rhythms

Banjo I play country stuff or try to anyway!

Sitar I haven't got one yet but the first thing I will probably work out is Norwegian Wood :p

They have clear melodies...Sweeping through a scale backwards and forwards is not my thang soz.

In fact I think i could listen to Satriani all day every day and never grow tired of his music. He makes his guitar sing like no one else in my opinion.

Hendrix was such an awesome talent. He also had a strange knack of doing cover versions of songs and really making them his own. His version of Hey Joe is so good that most people don't even realise that it's a cover, Bob Dylan said that he prefers the Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower and when Eric Clapton first heard Hendrix playing Killin' Floor, he was stunned to the point of nausea.

I agree with Dr. McNinja too, today when someone covers a song they rarely make it their own I think. I also find it rare these days for a guitarist to make me 'believe' and feel what he's playing. Hendrix and Frusciante stand out from the last few pages for me as guitarists who have you hanging on every note, it's like you can feel their emotion. I find a lot of modern stuff very mechanical, technical and emotionless :(
