Favourite Guitar Solo's?

I wish people would stop going on about solos, and I wish even more that people wouldn't call them solo's, you know who you are! *glares*

Most of the Ink Compatible album actually, I really like the way they jump between the timings they're playing.

I like a lot more than buckethead of course, his just stick in my head a lot more as I've been listening to most of his stuff lately.

I can't fault your taste.

I play in a rock / blues band and TF is in our set list.

Our guitarist and lead singer can play it perfectly.

Assuming he used standard tuning, but then I don't understand why anyone would use .13 gauge strings and use standard tuning, the strings would be like suspension bridge wire.

I personally would use 13 gauge for tuning my guitar to a 7 string (or lower) minus the high e.

That's a cool video, it makes it even more apparent as to why I don't understand the usage of 'solo'. I didn't see (well hear) any solo in that video.

By the definition of solo you're using, some people would class whole pieces of music as a 'solo' when realistically, that's a crazy thing to say.

wow ive started srv mania here lol

yeah he originally used 13's but moved down to 12s later in his career as his guitar tech convinced him due to his hands getting damaged. thick strings are what give him his sound its like his trademark, shows how strong his has are that he can bend like that with 13's too lol
