Einhander on the PS1 had an awesome soundtrack


Tekken 3 also had a awesome soundtrack aswell. Really liked Yoshimitsu's stage.

My god I forgot about Still Alive.... straight in at number 1. I dont care how many 'the cake is a lie!' or 'companion cube' jokes get overused in ****e scenarios, that piece of music is just genius. Portal was such a great game, the ending made it legendary.

Oh, of course, the intro music to Normality! It's an amazing game intro generally, but the music is a big part of it:

 
I did my first year HND assignment work listening to nothing else but SNES music and Electric Six. :o
 
Was music created specifically for games in general or was it created then assigned to a specific game? Things like the NFS main menu theme and other tracks are so good they cant have just been made for the game surely
The Wipeout series has some great tracks and the Starcraft 2 music is pretty good

edit - in fact, the NFS 2 main music sound like the sort of stuff a resident DJ plays at a Psy-trance night I go to!
