Yep, Particle Systems, who were then bought out by Argonaut, but they went bankrupt a couple of years later taking the former Particle Systems with them.

that sucks a lot, wish someone would take up the independance war mantle, and bring it back from the ashes! would certainly be something i would play with so many fond memories of the first, especially the crazy instant action thing, those COSA patcoms were absolutely lethal!
