I've just watched Cyborg which is an old action film with Jean Claude Van Damme and I was wondering if anyone remembers any good action films from that era (1980's to early 1990's). Here are some others which I used to watch when I was a kid (I was born in 1989):

I was just wondering what other great action films were popular when I was a kid, I was a big fan of martial arts and actions films and I watched a lot of violent ones with my cousins haha, good times. There must be some which I've forgot though.

Well you've forgotten all the classic Vietnam films of the 80's at the very least.

Platoon (1986)
Full Metal Jacket (1987)
Hamburger Hill (1987)
The Siege of Firebase Gloria (1989)

The last is not well known but is probably one of the very best 'Nam films ever. There are a few clips from it on YT.

Awww dont say that. Was bought it as a present last month after remembering it. Hoping to get the semi-sequal (robot wars) too.
