Favourite Pub names

because loopylou and bottletop have taken my one  i'll have to go for "the goose" or "the sir loin of beef"

too many local people, i live on Norman Road at the moment, know people that live on rugby :p

I pass a "Fox and Newt" on my walk home from work, I always giggle a little inside. Also the some reason one called "The Skyrack" amuses me too, sounds like some mythical torture device.

"the bankers draft" is always funny after a pint or 2 and people start changing the beginning of each word :p

The Alex.

Bit odd, that one, but it's down Alexandra Road. Used to be called Top Alex, there was another one down the road called Bottom Alex :D

Edit: And the rock club in Rayleigh called The Pink Toothbrush.

There's a Brahms & Liszt in Glasgow, it's a wine bar so I've obviously not been in it.

We've got pairs of glasses with pieces of music by Brahms an Liszt respectively on them, they're nice and subtle :D

(by pairs of glasses I mean matched sets of two drinking vessels. Not spectacles. That would be stupid.)

I was a bit :/ at 'The Camel's Hump' when I first saw it in boro. But then we bought some Babboon's Arse's & it was OK :D

Used to be a pub around here called The Office, which was a good one for the phone call home.

Aparently there was an idea to call another local pub, recently converted from a mental institute, the March Hare, but this was changed on grounds of sensitivity to former residents, who had been moved to an establishment nearby.
