What are your favourite singleplayer levels/missions from any games on any platform?

I will post mine when I've decided. =P

Either its true or i'm just being predictable too.

I came into this thread with All Ghillied Up and Ravenholm in mind...

-Hong Kong level in Deus Ex - great design and atmosphere.
-"Hell" level in Painkiller - such a unique take on the idea, basically seeing snapshots of mankind destroying itself throughout the ages
-Police Station level in Max Payne 2 - so many great in-jokes, from the chattering policemen (Officers Broussard and Miller, lol) right down to the guy in the toilet saying he'll "come out when it's done" :D People said MP2 was too short, but they must have been rushing through the game and missing out, I spent over an hour on that level alone.
-Vortex Rikers on Unreal - an opening level with no actual fighting, just setting the tone and atmosphere through the use of graphics, sounds and diaries. Something that was almost unheard of in FPS of the time (remember it pre-dates HL by a good 6 months).

First landing on the beach in Call of Duty, I swear I heard my Grandad calling me. :D

Getting chased across those roofs by those Aliens things in HL2. Then standing at the top of the drain pipes shooting them in the face as the rattled there way up.

The Final level of R-Type when the whole wolrd/tower thing blew up & the screen went mental, Uber cool.

Australian section of the First Colin McCrae Rally. :D

First crash in Richard Burns rally. + :( + :p

Shall I go on ???

Never got that far into MW1. :(

I have a bad memory when it comes to games but my favorite moment/level in a video game would have to be in MGS4 when you fight liquid snake. Its just the fact that songs from all the games start playing during the fight that made it so epic.

For a pc game... I'd say..... omaha beach level in MOHAA. It was the first game I played back in 2001 on my very first pc my family ever owned. At the time it blew my mind.

Yeah that Omaha Beach level was amazing at the time.

So many I could list... but I'll go for:

Bioshock - Welcome to Rapture

The moment in HL1 where you realise the marines are bad. They shoot a scientist in the head right in front of you.

I actually remember standing there at the top of the stairs going.. no.. no it can't be true. I've come through all this to find the marines and now they're bad?! I didn't accept it at first, I didn't shoot at him until he ran towards me and started shooting me. Even then it took me a second to fully admit it and shoot back.

Also the moment in portal where you're going into the flames was excellent, I thought I'd broken the game at first when I got out of there.. then I realised that was only just the start :D
