We have a few fax machines here all of the same make/model (samsung SF-5100).

We have one that is faulty due to a broken port on the back and one that has recently started showing "Fuser Error" on the LCD.

What I want to do is take the fuser out of the one with broken port and put it in the one with the fuser errror.

My question is, what does a fuser look like?

The fuser should be the last roller the paper goes through on it's way out of the fax machine, usually orange but can be any colour really. It's also generally the chasis around that roller too, they're usually easily swapped over with just a few screws. Try not to touch the roller at all though apart from being very hot if it's been used they're usually really easy to damage.

thanks for the advice guyus, I bit the bullet and guessed which the fuser was, the fax is now up and running andf fully functional :)
