FEAR COMBAT CRASHES

Hi

I couple of times (twice) while playing FEAR combat online I have noticed that all of a sudden my monitor screen goes into standby mode and the screen goes blank/ black.

I press a few keys, turn the monitor on and off, etc but can't get ANY picture (it just stays black and in standby).

It is like the graphics card has gone to sleep but I don't not know.

I have recently changed my graphics card and overclocked it and my PSU has 17 amps on a single 12v rail.

Please note I have played unreal 2004 online and this has not happened and oblivion, fear, etc off line and this has not happened so I don't want to jump to the conclusion that this is a PSU problem.

Also, for info. my GPU runs at just under 80c under load.

Has anyone got any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else?

start up the game wait a few mins after the monitor has gone off and then press
Ctrl+Alt+del or shift+tab and if the game gos down to the task bar and your monitor comes on it means the games resolution is set to higher then your monitor can do

Thanks for the suggestions, I have 3dmark05 and 06 but how do you run it in loop for 2 hours?

Don't you mean Alt+Tab not Shift+Tab?
