fear extraction point demo out

Oo...Didn't realise it was out anytime soon.

I presume it's an SP demo? Can't check properly in work due to our dodgy locked-down inet :/
 
Sierra Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Games, is pleased to announce that the demo for F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, the first expansion pack for one of the most critically acclaimed titles of 2005, will be released for download tomorrow (Wed, September 13th) at 10 a.m. PST.

guys does anyone know if 3dgamers and fileplanet use the same list of mirrors? I want to get the demo but there is a 60min queue on the 3dgamers uk server. I wondered if its worth trying to see if i can get it faster on a fileplanet one
 
Just go and look on the fileplanet site. It will list how long the wait is for you.
Pretty certain they use different mirrors.

I'm getting about 100kb/s on this mirror. Not brilliant but atleast its moving
 
Cheers for the heads up, I'm getting it now from 3d gamers at a whopping 40 KB/s :eek: lol, will take over 3 hours at this rate :( . Anyone getting good speeds from anywhere yet?.

ill see what everyone else thinks before i try again, i doubt this will be much better than FEAR's single player anyway :o
 
Just played the demo through.

All those people who bitched about the original because it didn't run to great, this one runs a good deal smoother than it. Even in a serious fire fight the fps doesnt drop (same settings as I would usually use on the original, the original would never have been this smooth)

Much shorter demo than the first one. Enemies seem as sharp as ever, although they don't really stand a chance against the Minigun.

Which brings me to my next point.
The Minigun.

Unlike most demos you get to the end. Trigger the demo ending sequence, and can restart the demo instantly to play through again :)


Can't wait to October now.
