fear extraction point demo out

The blood room in the demo with the stealth guys in it sends shivers down my spine everytime I play through the demo.

Wonder what other cool guns the full game will have.
 
Played the demo a bit, still on the fence as to whether I'll buy this, seems to be more of the same and while I liked the combat in FEAR, towards the end, reptition of the map desgin/layout became quite annoying.

I'll wait till I see some reviews of the full game.

As for scares, FEAR had it's tense moments but that was it, Condemed had a few places that made me jump, but nothing compares to System Shock 2 :cool:
 
in the robot room, by the stairs you cant go up, their are some gas canisters. if you shoot them they fly off for a thew seconds and explode!! i dont remember these in the orig, wicked
 
far too shot and far too easy for demo really. stick it on hardest setting and away you go. Few nice touches and i enjoyed Fear so will be getting it.

Mini gun is better than it looks.

Probably due to the lack of all the explosion/bullet particles flying about, but I found Condemned ran waaaay better than FEAR too..

that mini gun is awesome... funny as in that blood room with it.... reminds me of arnie in predator chopping the forest down with the minigun lol.

Well downloaded it again, seemed to install ok, but what seemed like the end of the install i got one of those BSOD preventing damage screens and some crap about a avsdtant.sys (summit like that) was the prob, so i just restarted and fired it up, and it played fine, so **** knows what was up there. :confused:

I had it maxed out in 1280x960 and it ran great, but not impressed as its just Fear again, was exactly the same. :(

yup i got exactly this seems certain parts of the map lags it right the way down for me on 1680x1050 max eye candy shame :( , good demo overall though
 
Dredging up an old thread here, but I just played the demo.
Gotta love more FEAR.

Very short demo, but the minigun is cool, and I just knew those shadow people were gonna be bitches. :p

Original game was good. Just the music and background noise got me on edge in that, hope this expansion does the same.

Not long to wait. :)
