Just started playing it and it great on multiplayer. Nice quick run around and kill people game, great fun. but...

How the hell do I update it to the latest version? Im on 1.0 at the moment and downloaded the full thing that updates it to latest but it didnt work. Instead it told me to get the non us version of the patch or something

Theres only about 4 or 5 servers running 1.0 version :(
 
I purchased FEAR like nearly a year ago updated every patch and played online a lot up to 1.06 then it was near impossible to get the UK 1.07 patch so I just downloaded FEAR COMBAT instead and use my geniune cd key with the game istead of the one u get when downloading Fear Combat. That way u have the latest patch 1.07 and dont have to keep using inserting you CD as you dont need 1, also since I have completed fear ages ago I dont need the single player installed anymore.

Go in regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\
currentversion\uninstall\{2B653229-9854-4989-B780-D978F5F13EAB}

You'll know if your in right place as there is references to fear. Then change all the dword values to 0. Then run the patch and it should work without whining that it's non us or some crap like that.

thanks ill try it (just need to get the patch again because i deleted it) under vesion it says 1000000. does this need to be 0000000 with all other Dword values as 0 too?
