Trying to sort insurance out on my car.. turning into a nightmare.. Looks like ill be paying £200 a monthy to insure both my vehicles :( How crap :(

Was someone not doing a "House Hold" policy where you could insure multiple cars under the 1 policy and save money? Admiral seems to ring a bell for that.

What cars? could you not make do with 1 car, would be a huge saveing (not ideal I know)

I just got my BMW insured, and its less than i have ever paid before :p

Im finally under the magic grand!!

815quid :D

i'm pretty chuffed with my renewal this year to - £500!!! down from 1.2k  2 years no claims, over 25, not doing business or silly milage anymore 4tw! :D

Not a bad postcode, both garaged! :( Gonna use the car as normal and my land rover for occasional weekends etc.. :( its a 220 GSi and a Land Rover 90 :( Not bothered about the quote for the car.. its the land rover being the same price! its a 2.5 TD! it does 70 on a good day :(

Me and Fern recently paid £409 for a '95 Golf, 0NCB, both 20. With diamond. I thought that was rather good, in an RG20 8 postal code, both have 3 years driving exp. Admittidly that is only TPFT though.

Low risk area + women = win :D

wow? What car, where are u?
Hehe, here's the depressing part. The car is a 106 Diesel :(
It's insured with Norwich Union and the policy is TPFT.

It does 60 in the time it takes me to make a cup of tea :D
The only plus point about it is that it extremely ecomomical even when thrashed (55mpg)
which is ideal for a poor'ish student.

Location is Chippenham, Wiltshire about 28 miles east of Bristol (I looked
at the sticky at the top of the forum and the area I'm in is the second lowest risk) :D

Neil.

We have both cars insured through Admiral and as said they charged us the same as 2 seperate policies though to get a M3 and a 318 coupe insured for £1000 wasn't too bad

Thats very good indeed, I've been really impressed with Admiral this year, just insured me and the missus on the 330 for £580 (most places wouldn't even quote as she isn't 25 until next month).

wow Committed, I thought I was paying the most over the odds!

Insurance for a grand is a dream! £1680 TPFT atm

sorry I'm a bit confused with confused and committed and others :/

Just got an insurance quote for a 98 Teg, £771 via Adrian flux for fully comp. Think thats rather good as I'm 24, 5 years NCB.

 That is mental paying as much for a Landy as for a 220GSI!

I should be down to £1490 fully comp with Admiral come renewal time, thats with mods declared (Mongoose exhaust next month and BMC induction kit soon) and £150 excess. Hopefully. All for having 1 year NCB and turning 22.

Just to put things in perspective when I first took out the policy with 0 NCB it was £2400. That was with a £400 excess.
