First post seemed a bit laboured. It's terrible i type pretty fast yeh so what is in my head just gets put on screen. So its all over the place basically. Typing that much takes 2min. Sorry. But yeh i'm too err analytical or scientific in my approach, you're right.

Maybe i'm confusing business with my pleasures. Im in a technical field so everything thats thought and said is pretty technical. I probably use the same methods to figure her out (maybe).

Jezus man, each time you post it becomes more and more obvious why she thought you were too serious. You didn't talk about your work to her did you?

I think even the thread title speaks volumes, using the word "Feedback" - it was a date not a job interview.

Take a look at yourself from her perspective do you really come accross as someone who is fun to be with?

right i was just talking with a friend and she said

" stop being so sensitive and analytical today - your just you - your not going to suddenly become the warmest most open person - u got barriers and anyone thats worth it will just have to push their way thru it - i wouldnt worry about it"

i think thats the best advice i'm going to recieve today.

Hire a clown suit & midgets bike then turn up on her door uninvited when she's had a long hard day & start juggling & slamming custard pies in her face, that'll show her who the bore is:)

I'm sure your fine when your with your mates in a relaxed environment, but probably under date conditions you were in formal mode.

Be in the moment, don't analyse everything and take the enjoyment out of it, you should be child like in your excitement of things enjoy them and don't look too deeply.....a date should be a relaxing bit of fun not an extension of your working life.

Go into your next date with that head on and you will be fine.

noted. argh this is weird! This is normally so natural to me! oh well seems like im gonna go back to basics.

but thanks anyway. very helpful! Lets see if i get that second date though! If not its a learning curve.

Maybe she was self conscious and nervous, best thing to do is to just take the reigns ask her out on another date to a location of your choosing (bearing in mind she has to enjoy it) and show her a good time.

Invite her over for a meal and dvd, make sure the dvd is Aliens and when it comes to the bit with Hicks talking to Burke about LV426's complex and what to do about the Alien infestion *SPOILER* and when Hicks says "Take off and nuke the site from orbit, its the only way to be sure", laugh histerically like a girl.

She'll understand then whats shes dealing with :D

That's just reminded me to pick mine up from the dry cleaners.

i think that cinema for a first date isn't the best idea. especially when she's going to be watching two naked hairy dudes roll about and fight in Borat lol

meal for two at a nice restaurant voted no 1 date

don't seem too keen she'll thrive on it

good luck

your killer was first date film mate,

Always seems to be the way,

Never goto the flicks for a first date, in the cinema you cant chat, cant flirt or anything.

Meal was a good start, should have gone onto a quieter pub or somewhere with music, but also where you could sit n chat the usual stuff, family friends, funny stories before leading onto life stories then home an either hers or your bed lol.

Meet again with her, be chilled. bang one out before you go out if ya have to. Heard it works lol ;)

Although I just advised against a cinema first date, I have to say my first date was a cinema and went brilliantly. silent flirting can be very fun!

Its a pretty standard way of establishing early control in a relationship. It puts the ball in your court to move things along and do all the work. Be weary of giving her too much attention as this is a major turn off for girls. In the end a relationship is something you really have to work at and most people don't realise this till is over. Its very difficult and nobody gets it right 100% of the time so don't worry.

Oh and cinema is where you go on a date when your 13 or when you don't wanna talk to them.
