Feedback Rant

trying to get him a ban ;)

I may be stupid but not quite that stupid ;)

Yes i have emailed them in the past. It is not something that has just come up. I have just browsed my trust & am shocked at how low it is. I have also dealt with people i would rather not have, with appropriate feedback left i would not have bothered dealing with them & would have chose one of the other deals offered to me.

Thing is about me is i take every deal i do personally & i am not someone who takes to being messed about. I avoid messers so that i don't get myself into a situation i may regret. I take things Personally. ( Yes that is a Warning )

I always leave trust, and if someone doesn't then I wait a few days for the deal to cool off and then I send a polite reminder via email to let them know that I'd appreciate it if they left their opinion. It's never failed me yet.

Do this as well, but sometimes they just 'disappear' for a few months and i can't be arsed then :D I usually leave feedback first if i was the buyer and last if i was the seller.

I must say I did a deal that never actually happened (was refunded) recently and i was scared to leave the negative feedback I think it deserved in case he went all arsey on me and left me a negative to annoy me.

I've also had instances where people ignore requests for feedback even though I've done there's and I've paid ASAP (ie fill in the bank transfer at the time). Don't think I've ever had a "non-feedback" when selling though - which is what is most important IMO. A bad buyer can't really "hurt" you.

Have always left feedback but I'm probably missing about 10. Although, I've enough for it not to concern me enough to want to pester people. I imagine some people do genuinely forget.

Anyway, the quality of the MM is fine, and the number of bad deals are a very small minority especially relative to the number of ebay threads we get in GD.

Why is this such a big deal? If you do something terrible, the other guy will leave you feedback saying as much. (I would, anyway). When everything goes fine, a lot of the time you forget. Like people have said, those that really care about building up their trust will email you about it.

I've probably been part of about 50 trades, and have about half that much feedback. Anything above 10 should be enough to convince people you're legit, so surely not a big problem? Just send polite reminders to people you trade with until you have enough feedback to be happy...

Email with a link to your trust is the most effective way. Simple, polite and it makes it easier to leave feedback.

It's annoying, the amount of deals I've had to do in either buying or selling is ridiculous when it comes to asking for feedback to be given, or stating that you've left it.

It's even more annoying when you are the buyer, yet the seller waits til you give them feedback first! I mean, if I pay the money straight away there is nothing left for me to do but wait, the least the bloody seller could do is give feedback immediately?

I always left feedback till I was banned for life for trying to sell a HD cable for a console for 125% mark up  ended up selling it for 150%

I'd have to agree, I've done about 6-10 deals through MM and to this day only have 1 feedback on my trust :-/

It would be nice if we had a way of simply loging how many deals somebody has made.

If they've made 100 trades, its easy to work out they're not scamming people... because lets face it... if you get scammed, you'll leave that person feedback ;)

But if it just says 1, you dont know if they have only made 1 trade and it was good... or 100 that have been unanswered.

It is a bit annoying, but it's not the end of the world really.

I suppose it's down to how much you use MM to how much you find it annoying?

someone left feedback on my profile and i had to report it to a mod to have it removed cuz i couldn;t sell anything on the forums since no one replied to my sales post.

the comment left was: "careful he is a muslim"

Yep there are some odd people out there. Ive only bought and sold 10 things on MM but one of my comments is negative "because i made a snide comment about hayfever and ME being modern diseases" hardly useful. :D

guy who left comment on me was banned long time ago though. odd, iv had a general browse on random peoples comments in the past and some really funny ones.

best one i came across was: "possibly gay" :p :D that was a damn funny one that some guy left on someone elses feedback.

gonna do a look around later on and see what i can find.
