Feel sick while playing FPS games

I thought it was just me. I had a bad headache and felt a bit sick when I got onto the part in the swamp/nuclear bit on the motorboat thingy. I quit the game but 2 years after I managed to play it, still felt a bit weird at the same section but got past it and all was fine after that.
 
Some games I play for 10 mins I feel ill. Half Life 2, Dead island are the worst games ever played for me due to this.

Half Life 2 holds the record for this making me sick in 5 mins managed to finish the game with help of travel pills.

Sadly because of this I no longer buy fps game unless tried them via illegal means or demo first to see if I can play without feeling sick first.
