Feeling so nervous

I had an assessment centre yesterday with the company I REALLY want to work for after I graduate. It went OK I guess but I'm not overly confident.

They are phoning me 'at lunchtime' today if I am successful. No phonecall if I'm not. I've got my phone glued to my hand, and I'm avoiding areas of the building with no signal. I never feel nervous about anything, but I'm shaking etc this morning. Just wish they would put me out my misery. In the words of an X-Factor contestant 'I want this so bad.'

Good Luck! - Got to say I hate having to do assessment centres, phoning candidates afterwards and doing the you have been succesful calls is kinda nice, but I also call all the candidates that wern't. I do it because I think it's only fair to let them know exactly what went right and wrong for them but having to tell people they dont have a job is not one of my fave tasks for a day!

I prefer getting the "no, sorry" call to not getting a call at all - it's so mind-numbing to never ever get a response back ever!

Yeah I hate the waiting more than anything.

Indeed, when an employer normally knows the same day it's a bit of a git making candidates wait for ages to get a response.

It's half an hour after Kelleeeeeee postsed but just about still lunchtime.

WHAT HAPPENED?!!!!

2 outcomes:
1 - didn't get it, in the bar getting sloshed
2 - did get it, in the bar getting sloshed

I agree with you, completely.

Sent some applications online and I get emails back saying that if they do not get back within the next x (usually 3) weeks, then you did not make the requirments.

Some companies are more helpful and do actually get back if you have not made the requirments within a few days.

As for the OP, I hope you did get a positive phonecall.

It would be the end of the world before you found big_white_dog84 at the bar.

Regarding hearing back about interviews, for my last interview I got phone call offering me the job while I was still on the train coming back home. A pleasant but totally bizarre situation.

*waits to find out what happened*

When are you supposed to find out Sara? Or is it just a vague 'be in touch soon' :(
Applications closed on Sunday 12th of Feb - and then it says it can be "4 to 6 weeks until you hear from us" - but there's a nice little online applications thing with a status indicator... up until the 12th all it said was "Applied" but now it's been "In Progress" since Monday the 13th... That's all I know :(

Oh well at least it's moving *positivity positivity* least it doesn't say 'REJECTED' then you'd have reason for a blue face :D
