Feeling wintery?

Urgh, am i the only person who doesn't mind what season it is? They all have their plus points!

In summer in this country it occasionally gets warm enough to warrant the use of a cooling fan, this is sufficient to stay quite cool and is nice and refreshing. In winter OTOH, the central heating will need to be run for much of the time at significant expense.

Winter is horrible for your skin and lips, horrible getting out of showers, horrible darkness in mornings and stupidly early in evenings, need to use tumble dryer to dry clothes properly, have to take jackets with you all the time etc etc.

Really, nothing is more comfortable, easy or economic in winter than it is in summer.

Well I was a bit excited.. after that though..

Regarding expense though I think I probably break even in winter anyway. Costs more in gas and leccy but due to crap weather preventing trips out most of the time I can keep myself easily amused watching tv, films, games, etc. Every time I leave the house in this city I spend 20-30 quid without even trying. Sometimes I just look forward to a good winter hibernation.

I used to be a big fan of winter but I now really dislike it because it snows and snow just causes disruption on the roads. I would love for it to be spring weather all year round. Not too hot and not too cold. Just right.

It should be a criminal offense to feel excitement over Christmas until December the first at the earliest.

I don't mind autumn, its the crispness with warmish sunshine that makes it nice. I'm moving from the midlands to Hull in 2 weeks, I think it will be damn cold in winter.

Oh, potholes too. My front left alloy wheel can't take another battering. I had to get it repaired last year, and the even though the potholes have been bodged up with tarmac, they are already starting to sink and show signs of wear again. Time to put some steelies on.

i love cold nights, being wrapped up in a quilt while its frosty and snowing outside, its just de-icing the car and being freezing cold all day long that gets very tiresome very quickly.

Last years snow was fun for a day or so but become really annoying.

But at the end the starks are always right, winter is coming.
