"female identifying"

Edit - as for the pandering part I'm going to loosely compare this to homosexuality. Once that was a social hot topic (also illegal for some time) but now pretty normal and accepted (for the mos part) in society.
Not really the point I tried to make.
I'm afraid it's those who are trying to be "all encompassing and accepting" who are not using common sense within the subject.

Ah another day another GD gender rant..

Honestly I don't really care what people call themselves, you can identify as a pineapple for all I care. But be prepared to call yourself something sensible biologically for medical reasons etc.

I think the issue is the minefield created for everyone else. I agree, if you want to identify as a pineapple that's up to you, but don't get all offended if I refer to you as a he/she or male/female. Unless you're going to wear a badge, I'm going to go with what I see, and badges and labels are bad anyway.

Love these threads!!

Yes, everyone should have to self identify unless they decide they self identify as non self identifying, in which case they don't

Personally I'm a self identifying non woman binary fluid. In laymans terms that means I'm a male, unless there's a rare queue for the mens toilets, in which case I'm allowed to use the womens.

Remember, it's MY choice!

It's pathetic ain't it? It's got so ******* ridiculous that a friend of mine was asked what his little boy identifies as when he enrolled him at nursery school, he's two.

lol. Everyone knows a two year old identifies as a digger or dinosaur.

I noticed that very few of the 'sheeple' will say no to anything.

So eventually we get in to these conversations.

God help a school if they ask me what my son identifies as.

Why does the question bother you?

What are you actually going to do if a school does ask? Bearing in mind that the person who does ask the question probably has to as part of their employment.

I would just reply with some sarcastic comment.

"Well yesterday he was convinced he was a cowboy, day before that he was a ninja, today however he's a little "insert poo swear"

I'm not going to dignify stupid questions with an honest answer.

Do they not have Storyteller any more?
Diggersaur? Not only both digger and dinosaur, but even set in space, too - How awesome is that!!!! :D

I'd really like to see a copy of the form they fill out.

Name: Johnny
Address: 10 High Street
Age: 2 and a quarter
Identifies As: Diggersaurus

The question would bother me also - it’s pathetic to even ask. That’s where the annoyance comes from.

FWIW I also feel the question is pathetic and don't understand the requirement, but I'd just answer the question and move on with my day, I think..

Similarly, what if your child actually wanted a say in this, and did identify as a gender different from their biological sex? Would you tell them it was pathetic?

I ask you as I ask myself, by the way - I'm simply not sure how I'd approach this.

I'm merely asking why the question bothers people/myself so much.
